The atmosphere around St. Edmundsbury is light and relaxing mostly due to the friendly, engaging and accommodating hosts who make guests feel right at home in their home. Guests reported that the hosts have no problem providing extra services as needed, they are knowledgeable and love to share their knowledge about the area.


Comfortable, Clean Guest Rooms.

The rooms at this hotel are immaculately clean with comfortable furnishings. Guests reported that the view from the rooms is very nice and all the appliances and amenities are in working order.

The breakfast served each morning makes for a perfect start to the day. The food is delicious, well-prepared, fresh and plentiful and the servings are large and filling. Guests also reported that the coffee and tea is always fresh and the breakfast room is bright and cheerful.

Unprofessional and Indifferent Staff.

Some guests reported that upon arrival to St. Edmundsbury, they were met by unprofessional and unwelcoming staff who seemed annoyed by their arrival. Also reported was issues with bookings, unfriendly staff who are unresponsive to guests' needs, intrusive staff who ask too many personal questions, long waits to be checked in, issues that go unresolved and staff who don't offer an apology when things go wrong.


Uncomfortable, Noisy Rooms.

The guest rooms are small and feature uncomfortable beds and furnishings and a lack of soundproofing. Guests also reported that the decor is dated, the bathrooms are small with a musty smell coming from the drains, there is a lack of toiletries, the towels are tattered and the Wi-Fi doesn't work.


Inconvenient Breakfast with Little to Choose From.
