Hotel Splendid staff is friendly and helpful; nothing’s too much trouble. They will explain the bus into Old Town and sell tickets at a cheaper rate than on the bus. They have weekly tourist cards on hand so you can avoid sourcing these yourself. The kitchen staff is accommodating with special dietary requests, which is very much appreciated.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Make sure to request a room facing the sea; they have lovely balconies with scenic views. Dining is great, with a tasty complimentary breakfast and good selection and quality at dinner. Overall, this hotel offers good value at a reasonable price.
Hotel Splendid has small rooms, which would be OK but they need a refresh, bathrooms included. The beach is a real bonus and has beautiful scenic views, however its facilities are run down and could use updating. The entire property would benefit from a little TLC.
