The Southern Cross Lodge is situated in Methven, Mt Hutt village. Just one hour's drive from Christchurch, there are 48 rooms, all with ensuites. Facilities at our lodge include a large lounge with pool table and cosy fire, separate dining room, and large function/meeting/training room. The property is an ideal choice for both families and large groups and regularly host school, ski and golf groups. Our Comfy Lounge - A great place to unwind, feel at home and socialise with other guests. It features: warm fireplace; pool table; chess and backgammon boards; TV, video/DVD; Internet - Wireless. The Dining Room - With seating for up to 70 people, the dining room can cater for most groups. We specialise in homestyle, affordable, healthy Kiwi cooking. The menu changes daily, according to what's in season and you can view the day's offerings in the dining room in the mornings. Breakfast is served from 7am-9am and dinner from 6pm-8pm. It features: a warm fire Function Room - Situated off the dining room, this large and welcoming room is always in demand.
