Hotel Southern Palms Beach Club (St. Lawrence, Barbados)

Southern Palms Beach Club is located right on a beautiful, quiet beach. The beachfront is wide and clean with lovely palm trees, very relaxing and pretty. When you do want more action it’s on a street with a number of great restaurants and walking distance to the bustling St. Lawrence Gap and it’s many bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. Also, you can easily take local transportation to visit places such as Bridgetown and Oistins or rent a car (there’s free self parking) or hire a taxi.

Staff is both friendly and helpful at the resort. They provide excellent customer service, whether watching your luggage while waiting for a flight or helping to arrange day tours and provide area information. The restaurant and bar service is also very good, both attentive and friendly.

The resort is clean and well maintained, including rooms, pools and the beachfront. Rooms with ocean views are scenic and well worth booking. The food is delicious and well presented, not to mention reasonably priced for the quality and variety. Drinks prices at the bar are also decent, even when it’s not happy hour. Self-catering rooms are perfect if you want to prepare meals but there are plenty of great food choices in the area.

It would be nice if Wi-Fi worked throughout the hotel. You may need to move around to find the spots with the best signal.

At times there is a seaweed issue on the beach, which can be messy and smelly. Southern Palms Beach Club does a great job of keeping it clean however, so you shouldn’t have an issue.

The water can be rough so it may not be ideal for children you can certainly swim in it.
