Smart Suites, Ascend Hotel Collection (South Burlington, USA)

The extraordinary warmth and friendliness of the staff makes Smart Suites South Burlington is exemplary and makes the hotel a perfect home away from home.

The rooms are bright, spacious, clean, and well appointed. Beds are very comfy. Throw in the yummy free continental breakfast consisting of coffee, French toast, omelets, bacon and sausages; as well as excellent snacks in the afternoons and you have a wonderful stay.

Located off highway of the Adirondacks, the hotel is close to several key attractions including Red Rocks Park (3.1 km), Oakledge Park (4.3 km) and World's Tallest Filing Cabinet (3.8km) among other attractions. The hotel provides a free airport shuttle round the clock that makes it easy for guests to move to far flung locations with ease.

While the hotel does well to maintain a strict non-smoking policy in all the rooms, apparently it does not enforce it very well since several guests have reported that some rooms smell strongly of cigarette smoke.

While the hotel does serve a sumptuous free continental breakfast every day in the lobby, guests have to cook their lunch and dinner or opt to eat out since Smart Suites South Burlington lacks an on-site restaurant and bar.

The rooms use heaters which sometimes take too long to heat the rooms to a desired temperature. In other cases the AC units completely fail to operate. TVs are old tube models with rather poor picture quality.
