The hosts of Silverstrands Guest House are certainly on a mission to make your stay as welcoming as possible. They are friendly, cheerful and hospitable with a great sense of humour and many guest left feeling as if they had made new friends.
Many guests said they would return because of the unbeatable location and welcomed the spectacular views as well as the very short walk to Inverness City Centre.
The good humour and bonhomie of the kilt wearing host made this meal memorable for holiday makers although the food itself was worthy of a mention. Well prepared, good quality home-made food with hearty portions seems to be the order of the day, with cereal and Continental breakfast available as an alternative.
Although a credit card number is taken at the time of booking to ensure your reservation, the hotel only accepts cash payments. Several guests commented that this caused them a great deal of inconvenience.
The twin rooms in particular are noted to be small and a bit cramped and a few guests also complained about the size of the bathrooms. Unfortunately some guests have decided to stay elsewhere on sight of the rooms.
Some guests have been disappointed with the lack of choice offered at breakfast with their not being much choice for non meat-eaters. However as the hosts are very accommodating and keen to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, it is recommended that special dietary requirements are mentioned at the time of booking.
