Shore Winds is quite literally a stones throw from a sandy beach, meaning you can easily walk over for a dip in the ocean from this motel. Handy, because the motel doesn't have a pool!

You will be hard pressed to find a cheaper motel in the area as close to the beach as this place. If you are traveling on a budget but still want to experience Daytona Beach, this could be the place for you.

There are not many staff here, but what they lack in numbers they make up for in helpfulness. You can expect service with a smile and round the clock assistance, along with recommendations on what to do in the area.

The rooms here are rather dilapidated so don't expect anything too flash, you really do get what you pay for. Expect dusty corners and gaps between windows and doors, along with electrical appliances that could be temperamental.

The gaps between windows and doors invite cockroaches and other critters into your room, so don't be surprised if you spot a roach in your bathroom when you get up in the morning. If spotted report it immediately to reception.

If you find the general appearance and cleanliness of the rooms here below your expectations and decide not to stay after all, you probably won't be refunded the room rate if you have already paid. There are plenty of 'no refunds' signs in reception.
