Breakfast here is the ideal way to start the day. Beautifully cooked and presented, it can’t be faulted. The same goes for dining later. It says much for the hotel that it draws a regular locally based clientele to enjoy the super menus ... or just have a drink in the bar.
Very attractive and the emphasis on wooden floors and beds brings and added sense of quality. Spotlessly clean, they are spacious with all mod cons. If you have a room with a river view, you’ll probably want to stay in there all day!
Wooden floors creak, not just in the bedroom but in the adjacent corridor. This leads to an irritating ongoing noise, particularly at night.
There are no blackout curtains so the light comes shining through. Not the best way to wake up.
You have to physically lock the bedroom door on exiting. In this day and age where most self lock behind you, it’s an easy thing to forget.
