An historic home, in a safe area of the city, Seven Gables is situated in the garden suburb of Walmer. Close to all amenities and the airport,this home offers convenience for the stately traveller. Recently renovated to fit in with the original dwelling, the room offers old world charm with modern convenience and amenities. The house is situated a chip and a putt away from The Walmer Golf club and estate. Close to part of the Iron Man route it is a 15 minute drive to the beach. Mountain bike trails of the Baakens River valley are nearby. Walmer Park shopping mall as well as the local Spar supermarket are within walking distance. Many good restaurants are available in the area. All guests are welcome to stay in this tranquil room with separate entrance . A private area leads off the room allowing guests access to the park-like garden and the pool. Barbecue facilities are available on request. Also available is a child crib for guests who have little people to consider. Accommodation: The room has two extra-length single beds which can be converted into a king-size bed allowing flexibility in sleeping arrangements. The en-suite private bathroom has a shower and toilet and is stocked with towels and toiletries. A kettle and fridge are provided along with tea, filter coffee, milk and sugar. A suitable breakfast basket will be provided on request should guests have specific needs. Transportation: Port Elizabeth has Uber and other taxi services if guests do not have their own transport. Public transport should not be relied upon. Facilities : In the case of longer term stays, additional facilities can be provided if requested. A fully equipped workshop on the premises makes this the ideal stay for the serious competitor or for those that have an identified need for workshop facilities. Internet: WiFi connectivity is available and Netflix / Showmax can be arranged if specifically required. Otherwise a limited satellite bouquet of programmes / music is present. Interaction with guests: Guests are free to contact Barbara or Jim should they have any questions. Both hosts have an excellent knowledge of local conditions and wildlife attractions. Exiting the airport, turn left into 3rd Avenue, Walmer. Continue on until the first set of traffic lights, and turn left into Buffelsfontein Rd. Travelling west, continue until 10th Avenue and turn right at these traffic lights. Continue on until Short Rd. Turn left. First old fashioned wooden farm gate on the left is your arrival at Seven Gables. Parking is off Short Rd, so please use this entrance, not the 10th Ave entrance for your convenience.
