Hotel Senderos de Abona is a 17-room charming hotel within a renovated mid 19th century building, a former post office. The hotel is located in Granadilla village right next to the Church of Granadilla and is surrounded by the distinctive landscape of Tenerife island. Each room has Spanish decor typical of the Canary Islands with antique dark wood furnishings, cheery yellow walls and parquet floors. The hotel has an outdoor pool, solarium, sun deck and spa centre. Nearby activities include fishing, windsurfing, squash, horseback riding, cycling and karaoke. The hotel has free Wi-Fi in common areas and a tour desk for car and bike rentals. Rural Senderos de Abona offers three meals daily at its restaurant that includes gluten-free, vegetarian, Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. The hotel is just a 20-minute drive from Tenerife airport and 15 minutes from the Medano Beach.

Formerly a historic post office, this hotel is a quiet little gem located in the centre of town. Those who stay there enjoy how close it is to the beaches, shopping, and lovely restaurants. Guests rave about the rooms which are decorated in old Spanish style with heavy oak wood, wrought iron, and exposed beams.
Guests who travelled with their families were quite pleased with the lovely courtyard filled with fruit trees. The pool is heated which was great for younger children. As it is family owned and operated the hosts go out of their way to make families, especially, feel welcome.
Guests spoke highly of the buffet breakfast offered to guests in the mornings. Fresh fruits and tastes of the area, in a great variety, made those staying there remark about the quality of the food.
The Wi-Fi is unreliable to non-existent at this hotel. Most guests stated that they just didn't make a point of trying to connect, and instead went into town for better connections to check their mail. This concerned others as they were not able to receive calls on their cell phones either.
The parking is difficult in and near the hotel. Guests were confused as to where they were allowed to park their vehicles, and there seems to still be some confusion on the matter. Make certain to access the true information from the city's instructions.
Since the Wi-Fi does not work well in this hotel, more often than not the credit card machines will not be working and the front desk will not be able to process any payments. It might be a good idea to pay with cash.
