Seaflowers is an upscale, waterfront bed and breakfast located in the south coast of Devon. Kingsbridge is a ten-minute drive from the house. There are three modern rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and superior quality linens. All the rooms also have en suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries; some have Jacuzzis and river views. Seaflowers emphasises on sustainable living, therefore it has solar panels providing under-floor heating and hot water. It has a garden and a sun terrace. Free parking is provided on-site and pets are not allowed in the house. A home cooked breakfast is complimentary and served to the guests in the room. There are a few restaurants and pubs in the nearby area. The bird watching area of Slapton is just a ten-minute drive from the house, while The cliff-top Thurlestone Golf Course is a 20-minute drive.
The house is located on the banks of Frogmore Creek estuary; thus it has nice riverside views. The accommodations are simply beautiful and close to nature, right on the water's edge. There's also a garden for guests to enjoy an evening stroll. Moreover, the rooms are well appointed and kept clean.
The rooms have en suite bathrooms with showers, while some rooms have Jacuzzis. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the Jacuzzis and said that it was nothing less than stay at a five-star hotel. The fluffy towels, slippers and robes as well as complimentary toiletries gave the guests a feeling of an upscale, luxury stay for a reasonable price.
Hosts of the house ‘Pat and Anthony', had a warm, welcoming attitude towards the guests. They were very helpful and friendly and went out of the way to accommodate the guests. They provided the guests with maps to give them an idea of the surroundings and areas of interest. Breakfast served at the house was very tasty and had tremendous options to select from. It was homemade and freshly served in a nice, presentable way.
One or two guests felt that the house was located in a remote place. They said it was very difficult to move out for a pub or restaurant in the evening. Car was mandatory for travelling late.
A couple of guests said that the bathrooms were claustrophobic, only one room had views over the estuary, rest were all overlooking a car park. Even the Wi-Fi connectivity was a little slow.
