Rooms are clean and comfortable. Villas are spacious and well suited for traveling as a family. The grounds and pool area are well maintained and the property is quiet and relaxing, even when it gets busy.

Great fitness facilities

Scottsdale Resort & Athletic Club has a good range of facilities if you like to keep active. The pool and hot tub are large and clean; there is also a lap pool, if you like to swim for exercise. The fitness center is large, well equipped and offers a range of different classes. Of course, there are also numerous tennis courts and the members are very friendly.

Resort staff is friendly and accommodating. The front desk is quick and efficient at resolving issues, whether it's a room change or extra towels. The resort is well located in Scottsdale, an easy drive from attractions such as Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, golf course, restaurants and grocery stores.

No onsite dining in summer months

The restaurant is closed for the summer months. If you are expecting to dine onsite during your stay, make sure you confirm ahead of time that it's actually open! The smaller rooms don't have proper kitchens so your options are limited. During the off-season, it's extremely quiet and facilities are limited. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but can make the resort feel oddly deserted.

Breakfast at Scottsdale Resort & Athletic Club is average and the service quite poor. If you are staying in a unit with a kitchen, you're better off to prepare your own meal.
