Travelers on a budget love the low price of this place. If you are looking for a place to rest your head between parties, why pay more in a posh part of the city when you can stay right amongst it for an exceptionally low rate?

Even guests that have a lot to grumble about concede how perfectly situated the hotel is. Step out onto the craziness of Khao San and all it has to offer, or walk to the nearby Phra Arthit Pier and take a riverboat ride through the city.

In spite of the frenzied nightlife happening all around, guests are happy to find that many rooms are not so affected by noise. Street-facing rooms and accommodations above the restaurant are subjected to loud music, but rooms at the back and on higher levels are surprisingly quiet.

There are an extraordinary amount of bad reviews regarding the staff at this hotel. Guests travelling through the land of smiles are genuinely aghast at the lack of smiles from rude front-of-house staff whose indifferent and affronted attitudes leave reviewers gob smacked and wishing they were elsewhere.

On a number of occasions, wallets and purses have mysteriously disappeared from rooms. Even more sinisterly, bags left behind front desk in ‘safe storage' have been riffled and things taken. In these instances, staff and management have accepted no responsibility or done anything positive to assist victims.

A remarkable number of guests refer to this hotel as being like a prison. This may refer to the strict NO VISITOR rule, which is aggressively and unbendingly upheld at all times, the bad food served in the restaurant or the rats and cockroaches that roam the property.
