Good budget accommodations with soft beds and clean, fresh linens and towels. Although smaller than some, these rooms have nice windows, some even on the ceiling, and are kept impeccably clean. They also have great Wi-Fi available - be sure to ask for the codes upon check-in.
The daily breakfast is served at a nearby sister hotel, of good quality, served hot, promptly and nicely presented.
Basic rooms with a bed and television, and some of them too stuffy and warm to relax in. Beds are usually comfortable, but very small - doubles are way too confining for two people to sleep well. Some have described these hotels as renovated houses with bedroom sizes to match. Although it may sound homey, this isn't a bed and breakfast. (In fact, the breakfast is basically eggs and toast, served in another building entirely.) Some of the usual niceties of a hotel room won't be found, such as full length mirrors to check your outfit. You won't have much room in the bathroom, and some guests of average height have complained they can touch both walls with their arms fully outstretched. Some rooms, having had trouble with the power sockets, even stretched power cords across from the other side of the hallway or other rooms.
Don't count on friendly, charming staff here - the opposite is the norm. They're usually not there at check-out time, so plan on leaving your complaints online - where they won't read them anyway.
