The hotel is quiet even though it is in a busy area. You will sleep nice and sound.

The hotel location is right on the money. It's easy to walk through the town and there is a trolley nearby. The restaurants are great too! You will find Mediterranean food, Holdren's Steak and Seafood restaurant, which is a local favorite, Italian food, and more. If it's in your budget, try the different restaurants, the food is delightful. The hotel breakfast is nice too and be sure to check out the view from the bar and the many wine tasting rooms in the area.

The hotel has an old-world charm, and it's clean. There is a historical ambiance with modern touches. The rooms are a little small but you don't mind too much as the environment is very pleasing.

The hotel has a beautiful elevator from the past that takes forever to get from A to B! It serves a nostalgic purpose and that's about it. The hotel is a landmark so it's not odd that such an elevator would exist; however, it's better for observing not for transit.

Don't ask for butter because you won't get it. No, seriously. You may get a retort such as "we don't serve butter," in a brisk tone. So if you love butter on your toast or bagel during breakfast, you are out of luck.

There is no self-parking only valet parking and you have to pay for the parking and also give a tip to the valet. Not only that, a nice chunk will be taken out of your credit card for a security deposit upon check-in. OK, this is not unusual, but the sum is ridiculous. On another note, there is no room service, no workout room, no swimming pool, no outdoor patio, and no HD on the room TV.
