Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is ideally positioned in the heart of the Little Karoo, just 3 hours from Cape Town. Situated at the foot of the Warmwaterberg Mountains, Sanbona boasts 58 000 hectares of sculpted Cape Fold Mountains, wide-open Karoo Plains, indigenous flora and fauna and rare examples of San Rock Art. Sanbona is a five star luxurious and authentic experience which will leave you truly captivated and transformed. More than a Big 5 reserve, Sanbona is also an ongoing conservation project that aims to restore the ecological balance in a harsh landscape. The Big 5 and various other species such as gemsbok, springbok, kudu, the rare and endanged riverine rabbit can now all be seen on Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. The reserve boasts three distinct and luxurious lodges. Dwyka Tented Lodge features nine tents with private decks and heated jacuzzis set in an awe-inspiring Karoo Ravine. The historical Tilney Manor embraces breathtaking views of the undulating mountains and landscape from your own private verandah. Gondwana is a family friendly lodge catering to children of all ages with their own Safari Programme. Rates are inclusive of three meals per day, two game drives per day, wilderness bush walks and game drive beverages.
