Hotel Rusland Pool is a stylish, newly-refurbished hotel, restaurant and bar situated in the Lake District National Park between Newby Bridge and Ulverston. Each of the 18 bedrooms has been recently renovated. All rooms benefit from en-suite facilities, free WiFi, TV, hospitality tray and other basic amenities including hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Rusland Pool offers a warm and cosy atmosphere with low ceilings and a real log fire, whilst offering stunning views across the Lake District countryside. Parking is available for guests. The hotel bar area offers a range of beers, wines and spirits, including local ales. The hotel is a great base for those wishing to explore the Southern Lakes of the Lake District. Guests are overwhelmingly praising of the staff, who are reportedly friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to provide first-rate customer service. Guests report staff preparing meals outside of kitchen hours, providing any extras requested, and remaining friendly and professional throughout.
Whilst a couple of guests suggest that bedroom furnishings are a little dated, the majority of guests comment that rooms are beautifully kept and newly decorated. Bathrooms have very few complaints and seem to be new and quality. A number of guests also comment that beds and bedding are very comfortable.
Reviews praise the restaurant a great deal, with a number of guests claiming that food served is of an extremely high standard. A number of guests also comment on the range of real ales, which is reportedly good.
A few guests complain of noise from the main road, which the hotel is situated on. However, guests with rooms to the rear of the hotel report no noise disturbance, and a number of guests comment that the hotel provides free earplugs.
