Las Palmas is a really buzzing city with all the nightlife you could want ... plus the glorious Las Canteras Beach. A far cry from the peace and quiet here … but it's only a 10 minute drive away - if that's what you want. Here in paradise though, there's a large and inviting pool, beautiful gardens and a super restaurant next door. Everyone is friendly and some even speak English.
Breakfast is buffet style and there's as much, or as little, as you want. Later there's a ‘help yourself' bar and tea and coffee facilities.
You can see how this hotel used to be a farmhouse. It oozes rustic charm; although now, there is the additional and inviting pool, beautiful gardens … and of course, the golf course. The rooms are pleasantly decorated and very clean. From here, it's easy to get to the inspiring, mountainous interior of Gran Canaria - and to those sun-drenched beaches.
In one direction there's frankly nothing ... the land that God forgot! In the other direction from the golf course there's an ominous development of tenement high rise flats.
A car is vital if you come here. Without it, you have no access to beaches or shops. There are absolutely no shops within any reasonable walking distance.
On arrival, you are handed your key and that's it! Here you are, stuck in the middle of nowhere. It's quite apparent that food is out of the question here, but there's no help offered in finding somewhere that's open. The San Ignacio Restaurant is very good and nearby … but nobody actually tells you about this!
