Just a short stroll from Edinburgh’s Princes Street, The Fountain Court Apartments – Royal Garden are serviced apartments set within a 19th century building which is a former museum. Guests can choose from a studio, one or two bedroom apartment, penthouse or superior one-bedroom apartment. Each apartment has a kitchenette with a fridge, dishwasher, freezer and microwave. The bathroom comes with a hairdryer and toiletries. There is a TV in the apartment’s lounge area. The apartment complex has a 24 hour front desk with luggage storage, laundry and dry cleaning service as well as a daily maid service for the room. There is non smoking throughout the building. No parking onsite. The kitchenette allows guests to prepare their own meals in the apartment however there are many restaurants, pubs and bars nearby. There is a coffee lounge and bar area on site. The Royal Mile is a ten-minute walk away with the Edinburgh Castle a 15 minute walk.

Road Noise.

While the Royal Garden Edinburgh is centrally located in the centre of town, unfortunately guests staying on the roadside of the building did pick up some noise from traffic and late-night revellers. If you’re a light sleeper, request a room at the back of the block.

One of the advantages of staying in a serviced apartment rather than a hotel is the ability to cook for yourself and save money. Unfortunately a few guests said there was a lack of kitchen utensils and cutlery in the apartment.
