Positive Reviews
positive:
The beach is calling.
Many guests said that the beach was one of the best that they had been to. Other hotels share the white sand with Roc Barlovento, but guests had no problems spending as much time here as possible, which included walking along the endless ocean shores that seemed to go on forever.
positive:
Renovated rooms.
Accommodation was a mixed bag here, but guests who were lucky enough to get an updated room were usually very happy. The upgraded accommodation included a fresh coat of paint, comfortable bedding, and was large with lots of natural light.
positive:
Fun night time entertainment.
Many guests had a carefree time here, which was partly attributed to the dedicated entertainment crew. When the sun set, guests knew that it was only a matter of time before the diverse entertainment team got the party going.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Disappointing to some.
Unfortunately, many guests had an onslaught of negativity regarding this hotel, much of which was directed at the often dismissive staff members. Customer service didn't seem to be front of mind to staff who could have used a refresher course in good hospitality.
negative:
Sun bed dash.
If you're competitive, you might enjoy the daily rush to secure a sun bed. Otherwise, you could be annoyed by the shortage of places to lay on the beach.
negative:
Maintenance is necessary.
Guests said that this hotel would be vastly improved with an update to the grounds. Chipped and cracked walkways weren't exactly the things that vacation dreams were made of, and broken railings and a swimming pool that had seen better days left a lot to be desired.
