Personnel across all departments are smiling and sincere, answering guest requests promptly, dealing with problems professionally and generally making sure all needs are carefully catered for.

While many use this establishment as a stopover when driving between Cork and Kerry, others have grown to love it in its own right. With a quaint village nearby featuring traditional cafes, bakeries and bars, the area is increasingly renowned for its natural beauty, with stunning views and river walks.

Guest rooms are a winning combination of spacious and comfortable. Couples and families alike are invariably amazed at the size of the well-appointed living spaces, with plentiful storage and huge bathrooms. Beds are requisitely big, and exceptionally comfortable according to many a well-rested reviewer.

Occasionally, a guest bemoans the lack of atmosphere in the bar. While staff are praised for their efforts, the lack of music renders it too sedate for some, while others, hoping to enjoy an afternoon of sport, are disappointed to find the bar doesn't subscribe to sports channels.
