It was clearly the staff at Residenza Zanardelli that most impressed guests. Though a small establishment, with a small staff, almost all guests found that the property's staff on duty conducted themselves in a professional and friendly manner.
While, surprisingly, not often mentioned, a couple of guests did report that they really liked the elegant décor. Some found that it was the perfect fusion of antique and modern elements, and they felt that a great deal of care and attention had gone into it.
While the bathrooms came in for the most criticism, the rooms in general were said to be exceptionally small - certainly smaller than the marketing materials suggest. Many guests felt that there really wasn't enough space for two people to occupy comfortably, while the size of the bathrooms required some gymnastic moves to be able to use.
It was hard to find a good word written about the breakfast. For a start the breakfast room was said to be tiny, with not enough room for all guests. Secondly, most felt it was too limited in both variety and quantity and that it would be better to take one's breakfast at a nearby café instead.
This is a small establishment, and one of the rooms is right next to the reception. Guests staying in this room mentioned that the goings on at reception could easily be heard from within their room.
