One-bedroom suites with private plunge pool are a hit with reviewers, who love having a living room to sprawl in, and a leafy private terrace to retreat to when the pool is busy. High-praise is awarded for the squeaky clean facilities, comfy king-sized beds and ever-flowing all-inclusive minibar.

There's no shortage of places to party at this resort. Guests regularly remark on the gregarious staff and talented performers in the Piano bar, and love the vibe at the swim-up pool bars. The evening entertainment programme is enjoyed by many, particularly the Friday night street party.

The Red Lane Spa gets glowing reports from guests, who love the signature treatments. High-quality hot stone massages, facials and body scrubs are oft mentioned, as well as the environment, which is so sparklingly clean and serene that some guests admit to spending their entire vacation in there!

At certain times of year, waiting lists for most popular dining spots are the subject of many a guest's gripe. Some guests found suite-exclusive restaurant Gordon's fully booked for the duration of their stay, while others were annoyed by limited opening hours at other eateries.

Several reviewers were disappointed with the butler service, in particular having to share them across several suites, meaning butlers were only available when not in the service of other guests. Some also feel that the butlers fell far short of offering five-star service and could use more training.

The lack of sun-loungers can lead to poolside arguments. Those in a prime position are bagged in the early morning by butlers reserving them for guests in suites. There are several reports of non-suite guests' towels and other belongings being removed to make way for higher paying patrons.
