With the convention center, sports' venues, and beautiful hiking trails and parks nearby, the Redrock Inn is a great location for short term stays. It's simple yet fair accommodations for business or personal stops, as well as those who need to be in town for an event.

This is a great place whether you plan a reliable cheap stop, or you need to stay somewhere without much notice. Thus, the complimentary breakfast is a pleasant surprise, with fresh and ample ingredients that some higher priced hotels still don't get right.

Despite the budget accommodations, the conditions still disappoint. Furnishings and fixtures are past their prime, and don't seem as up to date with the times. There's also a lingering odor of mustiness or just old, stale air.

A couple of little details that are frustrating: the appeal of a pool loses its hope because it's not always well maintained or heated as promised. Parking is difficult at times, and doesn't always provide a secure feeling, and the Wi-Fi signal is poor and inconsistent.

Although the inn cannot control guests who break the non-smoking policy, the smells, stains, and carpet burns are still too evident for new check-ins. Housekeeping needs to better address how to eliminate these odors and marks.
