Hotel Radisson Blu Carlton (Bratislava, Slovakia)

With Bratislava old town just across the street, this hotel was super convenient for exploring the city on foot. Guests also appreciated being near the River Danube for boat cruises. Trams and buses stopped outside the hotel and it was also easy to catch the tourist service up to Bratislava Castle.

Many reviewers commented on the beautiful palatial exterior of this hotel and its carefully-restored interiors featuring chandeliers and marble details. Guests whose rooms had views of the square were impressed. Very few people reported issues with hearing traffic noise from the rooms, but a couple of light sleepers were disturbed by passing trams. Reviewers largely felt the rooms were spacious, clean and tastefully-furnished with comfortable beds. The air-conditioning was said to perform well.

Lots of visitors felt they got decent value for money, but there were some negative opinions expressed about costs for extras like breakfast, car parking and minibar drinks being high. The harshest critics thought there was some work for the hotel to do on customer service. However, most reviewers said they encountered friendly, helpful and efficient staff.
