Guests can reach most of the major tourist sites, including the Antwerp Zoo, Meir shopping district, and Chinatown in five to fifteen minutes on foot. Those who wish to explore further out can catch the metro at the Elisabeth or Diamant stations nearby. The stunning Antwerpen-Centraal railway station is just across the street and the hotel's underground parking is convenient. De Keyserlei street, with its many restaurants, is also nearby.
The rooms are often described as spotless, with comfortable, traditional furnishings. Guests who pay a little more to stay in a suite, or in one of the Superior or Business Class rooms, generally agree that they provide very good value, as these rooms include the Super Breakfast Buffet, which is not inexpensive purchased separately. The buffet offers a wide variety of hot and cold options, as well as excellent coffee and a lovely view of the railway station.
Most guests give the front desk staff rave reviews for their polite and professional customer service. Many are fluent in English, and some staff members also speak Polish, Dutch, Italian, French, Spanish, German, or Arabic.
While most guests are pleased with the condition of their rooms, others felt there was room for improvement in housekeeping. Bathrooms, carpets, and failure to re-stock of minibar items or glassware seem to be the most concerning issues.
A few guests found that their room service orders did not appear in a timely manner, or were confused by conflicting information on the printed menu and website.
While most enjoyed the breakfast and the view, the room can get uncomfortably crowded at "prime times."
