Quinta do Scoto in Sintra is a very different concept in Bed & Breakfast. A traditional 1746 Portuguese Manor House furnished with antiques. 9 suites, most sleeping up to 6, en suite bathrooms, some with separate sitting rooms/2nd bedroom and now with a guest kitchen and barbecue. In total both the Manor House and Celeiro can provide an ideal solution for large families and groups of up to 48. Rates include Continental breakfast, a complimentary minibar initially stocked with beer, sodas, water, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, fruit and a bottle of wine. Most of the suites overlook or open out directly onto a large salt water swimming pool and terrace. The breakfast rooms have traditional Portuguese tiles and picture tiles and original furniture dating back to when the Quinta was built. Located central to the Lisbon peninsular with many attractions less than 1/2hr away. Sintra is 10 minutes' drive or 11 minutes on the train (avoiding the parking problems); Lisbon 1/2hr away by car or the inexpensive train journey. Local restaurants are traditional, child friendly and inexpensive, many of which are a short walk away - good places to go to after an afternoon around the pool.
