Queens Head began life as a 17th century coaching inn and now offer modern rooms within the village of Hawkshead. National Trust - Beatrix Potter Gallery is just one minute away on foot. Twin rooms, double rooms and suites are available here, all appointed with tea and coffee making facilities, a flatscreen TV and complimentary toiletries. There are picnic tables at the front of the inn where guests can sit and relax. Free car parking is provided and free Wi-Fi is also available. The restaurant downstairs serves a seasonal menu, including a traditional Sunday roast each week, with dishes created using locally sourced ingredients. The bar has a wide range of ales, beers, wines and other refreshments to choose from. Windermere Golf Club is a 30 minute drive from Queens Head, and the Lake District Ski Club is 35 miles away.

Queens Head started out as a coaching inn hundreds of years ago, and still to the day it welcomes travellers to stay. The rooms are much more modern than what they once were, but this place still retains some real old world charm.
You'll enjoy a warm welcome when you arrive at this hotel, and the staff will make sure everything is satisfactory with your room when you check in. If you have any problems throughout your stay they will be dealt with promptly.
You don't have to worry about finding a space to park your car when you book a room at this hotel. There is a large car park with enough space for everyone, and you won't have to pay a penny extra for as long as you stay.
If you like a cooked breakfast every morning then you'll be fine here, but if you would prefer something like some fresh fruit you will be out of luck. This hotel really needs to offer a more varied morning meal.
Don't expect to be streaming movies using the free Wi-Fi here, the Internet speed is too slow for anything but checking emails and social media. Some of the rooms have a weaker Wi-Fi signal than others.
All in all, Queens Head doesn't offer a wide range of facilities, rather few facilities at all actually. Considering the room rate they are asking for you may feel they are charging slightly over the odds.
