A convenient, affordable locale, great for its proximity to the university and surrounding area. This accessibility to local attractions has overridden the outdated decor and amenities for some. The pool is a nice break and clean as well, and breakfast is simple, but adequate, for most- a self-serve buffet with a waffle-maker, pastries, cereal, coffee and juice.

Many have noted recent renovations to their rooms as part of an apparent gradual refurb. These particular units have cozy new beds, nice bathrooms, freshly painted walls and excellent air conditioning.

The ongoing renovation can't be completed too soon; amenities and furnishings from linens to bathtubs to doors that don't lock - most guests were unhappy with the conditions they encountered.

The housekeepers seem to be challenged by the check-in time, with guests sometimes waiting up to half an hour for their rooms to be properly cleaned. Some have also noted hair in the drains, missing soap, towels and toiletries upon entering.

The online booking sites don't always mesh well with the hotel itself, it appears. Some offer deals the hotel doesn't confirm and the guests pay for the disconnect at check-in. Make sure you print out confirmation of reservation information and bring it with you. Also, there have been incidents where the hotel overcharged some guests by double - when questioned, management claimed to be unable to see the charges. The only resolution was to file a fraudulent charge claim with the guests' bank. Be cautious with this one.
