The breakfast choice is plentiful with eggs, waffles, sausage, hard boiled eggs, toast, fresh fruit, and other items. What’s more, the food is replenished whenever it runs out.

While staying at the hotel, you are located right across from the FDR museum. It’s directly off Highway 9 and down the street from Vanderbilt Mansion. A McDonald’s is nearby including a gas station, and a laundry mat is down the street. If you wish to tour Hyde Park, the hotel is the perfect starting point.

The hotel décor is modest but adequate. If your priority is location and decent service, you’ve found the ideal place. The staff is friendly and the hotel is a great place to lay your head for a few nights.

The breakfast area is too small. There are only a few tables making it hard to get a seat regardless of what time you arrive for the free breakfast. In fact, there are only several tables.

You may find fixtures not securely bolted and a loose shower head. There aren’t enough outlets in the room either. A fridge would be nice and there’s no elevator.

Walls are very thin, which means that you can just about hear every move and sound other visitors at the facility make. If you happen to be at the hotel during a very busy time, it might be hard getting to sleep if you are a light sleeper.
