Excellently positioned.

The location of Purbeck House is ideal, in that it is very near to both the town and the beach. Also, if you are driving then you'll find plenty of free parking here, which is really convenient.

Most of the guestrooms here offer a lovely vista, either of the gardens or of the sea. It's a nice sight to wake up to in the morning. In general, the rooms here are well sized, comfortable and warm as well, with an impressive level of cleanliness.

The grounds in which this property lies are spacious, well kept and attractive. It very calming to spend some time in them.

Not the best signal.

The Wi-Fi connectivity at Purbeck House could be better. It doesn't stretch very well to some of the rooms towards the top of the house and it can be rather temperamental.

While much of the décor is in keeping with the building's history, some of it still feels rather past its best and a little shabby. A bit of a tasteful refurbishment would do the world of good.

There is no lift at this hotel, so if you are on one of the higher floors, then it might be a bit of a struggle carrying your luggage to your room. Similarly, if you have mobility issues, the stairs will cause you some difficulty.
