Puerta Del Mar is set in a quiet alley, which has a close proximity to the town centre. The thick walls enable negligible noise from the corridors and lobby. In addition, the immediate area is safe, so you can enjoy walking around at night.
You can enjoy the stunning views of the sea from the floor-to-ceiling windows of your room. There are bushes and trees around, which give a breath of fresh air. You can further enjoy the picture perfect views from the highlight of the hotel, which is the rooftop terrace and pool.
The customer service definitely deserves more than a two-star rating. Each member of the staff never fails to smile or greet you each time you see them. They talk to you politely and can even handle friendly conversations with you.
The beds are a bit firm, but this is highly based on personal opinion. After promoting double beds in the rooms, you will see that some of the beds are actually two singles pushed together. Thus, you are advised to ask for extra sheets from the staff.
Some of the air conditioners emit weak currents of air. Others are a bit hard to operate. If you encounter any of these issues, please call the staff immediately. Moreover, the air conditioners blow directly on your head. If you find this uncomfortable, you can sleep in an opposite position.
There’s nothing fancy about the food, and the hotel offers the same type of dishes each day. However, the amount is enough for you to start the day right. You can also opt to eat at other restaurants near the property.
