About Promtsuk Buri

St. Germanus Church was founded in the 9th century and is a mixture of different styles. The western part in Mosan Romanesque style was built during the first half of the 13th century. The nave and choir are Gothic and date back to the 14th and 15th century. The 64 metre high Romanesque tower was rebuilt in 1550 and again in the 18th century. It has a carillon with 54 bells which are played at 08.30pm every Monday during the months of July and August . The tower has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Opening hours: from Monday until Friday from 09:00 until 16:00; Saturday from 09:00 until 19:00; Sunday from 09:00 until 10:30 (except the first Sunday of the month until 15:00).
