If reviewers were united on anything about this establishment, it was its location. Guests appreciated being across the road from Amsterdam Central Station for easy access to transport links. Also on the doorstep were theatres, dining options and shopping districts like Damrak. Some guests liked the views from their rooms across the canal to the grand station building. The hotel is only a few blocks from Amsterdam’s famous red light district and many of the city’s less racy nightlife options were also nearby. The location suited most visitors from those on budget short breaks to groups in town to sample the nightlife.

Most reviewers said they encountered friendly, helpful and efficient staff, although occasional critics disagreed. A majority of reviewers thought the rooms were adequately clean and tidy.
