Hotel Playa Sur (El Médano, Spain)

With the Hotel Playa Sur Tenerife being directly on the El Médano Beach, it is in a fantastic location if you are planning on partaking in some water sports. Not only that, but the hotel is in close vicinity to an array of shops, bars and restaurants, while the Montaña Roja is within walking distance.

Despite a few complaints about how approachable the staff members were, most felt the employees of the hotel were friendly and helpful overall. This included the high level of service provided with room service.

Although a small minority did not find the food to be particularly enjoyable, the large majority of past guests at the Hotel Playa Sur Tenerife felt the buffet meals were excellent. Not only is the food tasty, but there is plenty of variety to suit all tastes.

A large number of complaints aimed at the Hotel Playa Sur Tenerife relates to the old-fashioned and tired appearance of the accommodation. From the room furnishings to the general décor, many feel the hotel could do with being fully refurbished.

The rooms, while considered comfortable enough overall, do lack certain amenities – according to past guests. The omission of air conditioning was one of the more common grievances, as was the current small size of the televisions in the rooms.

Although the Hotel Playa Sur Tenerife boasts a variety of facilities, previous visitors have encountered some problems relating to said facilities. The lift being small and unstable, the swimming pool not being heated and the lack of Wi-Fi in rooms are some of the more common problems brought up in the past.
