Hotel Pinomar Hotel offers budget accommodation and is located in S’Illot’s old town offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. 60 double rooms are offered, all of which are en suite and feature televisions and telephones with a balcony and sea view. The hotel is ideally placed for easy access to the beach and also for fantastic views from your room. Although situated close to local amenities like shops, bars and restaurants the hotel is still in a relatively peaceful and quiet area so you are close enough to everything, yet still far enough away not to be disturbed by the resort centre.
The drinks in the bar are quite cheap and it also seems to be a meeting place for the elderly locals who come to play cards and petanque which creates a lovely ambience and adds more of a traditional feel to the place.
The accommodation is simple and this is reflected in the price that you pay where you still have adequate facilities.
Despite the budget approach this shouldn’t mean that rooms are not cleaned and that the property is not maintained. Towels are not changed regularly and when they are the fresh towels are stained, fixtures and fittings need repairing and some rooms have a strong smell of mould. The bathrooms have rust in them with cracked tiles and just look unclean.
Some guests have reported that the showers are not very powerful and at times there isn’t any hot water so it is almost impossible to shower.
The walls are so paper thin that it is often possible to hear absolutely everything from neighbouring rooms and getting a decent night’s sleep is difficult.
