This hotel has an excellent location for exploring Carlisle and the surrounding lakes. You'll be very close to the town centre, only five-minutes from the M6, and handy for the bus route.

You'll find a staff with smiles on their faces, eager to help you with any question, need, or concern you may have. Nothing is too much trouble. Some guests enjoy that staff will even have a genuine conversation with you.

To get your morning off to the right start, you'll find a full-English breakfast, with items cooked to order using fresh ingredients. Other choices are available as well including cereals and breads.

Hotel Needs Some TLC.

The rooms and hotel décor feel a bit dated and tired. Guests say the entire place is in need of a refurb. Things needed include minor repairs to curtains, wall paper, furniture, among others. The mattresses need to be replaced. Rooms also have a musty smell of dampness.

The walls are a bit thin, so you may hear some noise from other guests as they move about their rooms and in the corridors. There is also a nearby disco and that can get rather noisy. Be sure to ask for a room away from the disco.
