Situated well within walking distance of the lifts and après ski, Hotel Piccolo Chalet is a boutique property offering B&B style accommodation with lovely views over the Susa Valley. The 16 rooms are fairly simply furnished and decorated, but have what you need to enjoy a good nights sleep and comfortable stay, including writing desk and en-suite bathroom. Reception is on hand and can assist with tours, transfers, laundry and luggage storage. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and small pets are allowed on application. A basic breakfast is available every morning, but for proper meals reception staff will be able to offer great local dining recommendations. The main attraction, certainly in winter, is the lifts. They can be found just 700 yards away and will whisk you up to the best runs in no time at all. Turin Airport is approximately 60 miles away.
Many guests were simply astonished with the size of the rooms at Piccolo. Based on price, and other factors, they had clearly been expecting much smaller rooms and were very pleasantly surprised. They had more than enough room for the size of their group, without everyone getting under each others skin.
While not mentioned often, it was said that the views from at least some of the rooms over the Susa Valley were particularly lovely.
This was perhaps what most impressed guest about Piccolo. Whatever small problems they had with the chalet were dwarfed by what many said were astoundingly reasonable rooms-rates. Pretty much all the guest mentioning value believed they received excellent value for money.
A couple of guests mentioned that the Wi-Fi service was spotty, and really couldn't be relied upon. Those who have an urgent need for reliable connectivity will really need to make other arrangements. Perhaps activate data roaming.
This was a curiously common complaint- curious because the bathrooms on Piccolo's marketing materials look very large indeed. In any event, several guests said that their particular bathroom was too small for comfort.
As a result of being a fairly small budget establishment, it seems that the staff have multiple duties to perform, including at other locations. As a result guests mentioned that it was often very difficult to locate a responsible staff member when needed, causing a little bit of frustration
