This area, called City West, was once the centre of West Berlin. A bit more upscale than some other Berlin districts, the neighbourhood is quiet and serene. It's a 30 minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate through the green Tiergarten, and Ku'damm shopping street and its many designer brands is even closer.
Rooms are elegantly furnished and feature hardwood floors. Bright and soothing, there are many modern amenities as well as luxurious showers.
Described by many as a family-friendly establishment, the sauna, fitness centre, and pool facilities are well-kept and always clean.
Pestana Berlin Tiergarten is not located in Berlin's most central district, Mitte, which is home to most of Berlin's sights and attractions. Some guests, especially those looking forward to exploring Berlin on foot, have been disappointed with the location.
Some guests have had problems with the Wi-Fi connection, saying it can be unreliable at times.
