Penny Lane Lodge is a 3-star lodge, ideal for tourists, travellers, families and business people alike. Situated in the beautiful town of Somerset West at the gateway to the wine lands, it offers 6 self catering units all with en–suite bathrooms, TV, tea/coffee tray, fridges and cooking facilities. The units sleep between 2 and 4 people and each has their own separate entrance. Continental breakfast served in your room on a tray is available on request at an additional charge per person. There is an outdoor swimming pool located in lush gardens, braai/barbecue areas and secure, shaded inside parking. All guests are given a remote control for the main gate with their room keys. Penny Lane Lodge is just 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 35 minutes from Cape Town CBD. The lovely beaches of Strand and Gordons Bay are nearby and the historical town of Stellenbosch is just 15 minutes away. There are many things to do in the local area including whale watching, bird watching, mountain biking, walking and hiking in the nature reserves and all kinds of water sports. Shark cage diving, big five safaris and helicopter trips and tandem parachute jumps over the spectacular Cape Peninsular can be arranged. There are 6 major golf courses, including the world famous Erinvale course right on the doorstep. Penny Lane Lodge is unique in Somerset West as it has its own art gallery. The proprietor is a professional artist and her studio and gallery where she creates and displays her work is in the grounds. Her paintings hang in galleries around the Cape as well as throughout the property.
