Located next to the small town of Cabanas - Tavira on the edge of the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, the 3-star Pedras da Rainha is a well known touristic complex in the Eastern Algarve. With a wide variety of accommodation available (from Studios for 2 persons up to Villas for 8 persons), all apartments are fully equipped, providing a comfortable stay, spread over a 54,36 acres, within extensive green areas in a relaxing and friendly environment. Open the whole year, many activities can be proposed. There is an important dedicated Sports Area in the complex composed of five Tennis Courts (being two floodlighted), two Padel Tennis and one , eight rink, competition Bowling Green, a few meters away there is a Beach Volley pitch. This zone is served by a recently refurbished Club House which provides some food & beverage service in a cosy and elegant atmosphere. Nearby the complex there is a choice of other sports such as: playing at preferred rates in several Golf Courses, Nautical Activities, Radical Sports, etc. Due to its accommodation variety, it is possible to receive sports groups for competition and pre competition training. Cabanas beach is located 750 meters away, in a lagoon area, and its access is made by a small boat channel crossing, complimentary to all in house guests. Several pedestrian and cycling circuits are available. Clients may opt to use the CycleWay (Ciclovia) to move around the coastal area, Eastern and Western of Pedras da Rainha, visiting some picturesque villages and small towns; Inland in the nearby hills there is a new route called Via Algarviana that goes alongside of the Algarvian mountain system. Here the several circuits available can be used by pedestrians (walking & tracking) as well as by bicycle. Within the Lagoon area there are several possibilities of half day and full day excursions where the direct contact with local Fauna and Flora is a must for those Nature lovers. The restaurant “O Príncipe” offers a wide variety of national and international gastronomy as well as considerable wine cellar. Its terrace facing the pool is a privileged location for a relaxing evening meal by candlelight.
