The Ozukara 1 Apart Apartments complex is just over 200 yards from the beach at Gumbet Bay. Bodrum Milas Airport is less than 19 miles away. Apartments are at first floor level, or higher. They have a private bathroom with hairdryer and include air conditioning, safety deposit box, telephone and satellite TV; plus an equipped kitchenette area. Some have a sea view and/or balcony. All the standard hotel ‘rooms’ are at ground floor level. Ozukara 1 provides a 24-hour reception cover and concierge service. Luggage storage, currency exchange, tour desk and parking are among the additional services. There is air conditioning, free Wi-Fi; children’s play area and an outdoor pool. On-site, the property has a snack bar, pool bar, restaurant and supermarket. Breakfast, lunch and dinner choices are served. ‘Must visit’ attractions include King Mausolous' Tomb, St. Peter’s Castle, the Amphitheatre, and the underwater city of Mindos.
Apartments are spacious and quite well appointed. The major negative is the lack of storage space. If travelling as a ‘single', you'll be fine. Otherwise, there may be trouble ahead. In fairness, the value for money is really impressive. The ‘equipped' kitchenette is, actually, very well covered with most of the things you'll need.
You are never more than 10 minutes' walk from the resort centre, restaurants and beach. A really convenient location. Nearby, there's fun karaoke at Yates and Memories. Great dining value is at: Uncle Festers, Mumtaz Mahal, Red Dragon, Parrot … and quite a few more! Don't miss Sandy's ... just down the road; great, simple dishes and excellent value.
Always very friendly and helpful, members of staff are always on hand to help out - and they do so enthusiastically and willingly. If you need extra blankets, pillows etc; just ask and staff will drop them off.
Don't expect much in the way of cleaning. They'll empty your rubbish bins; mop round a bit … + that's it! Towels and bedding are changed, but not very often.
The noise from the Sultan Club penetrates the apartment until well in to the early hours. Depending on the location of the apartment, the only thing to take your mind off it is the deafening extractor fan from the Ozukara's own restaurant!
There are plenty of financial extras here, including the room safe and air conditioning. Whilst it's tempting to resist, the advantages of investing, far outweigh any financial negatives.
