The Ona Suites Salou is located in the heart of Salou just 50 metres from Levante beach. Up to four people can be accommodated in apartments with a bedroom and separate living area. All apartments have en suite facilities and a hairdryer, iron, television and kitchenette. The outdoor swimming pool is a perfect place to spend the day in high season and is surrounded by sun terraces where there are deck chairs and outdoor furniture to relax on. The apartments boast their own kitchenette for guests to enjoy a self-catered holiday. Located a stone’s throw from Levante beach the Ona Suites Salou is ideally placed. Universal Studios Port Aventura is the second largest theme park in Europe and is approximately two kilometres away. Tarragona is well worth an excursion with its Roman Cathedral and ancient city wall.
The kitchens in particular are well equipped with everything you need for a week’s holiday. This includes hob, kettle, washing machine, microwave and various kitchen utensils. The air conditioning in the apartments is very effective and helps to control the temperature.
Guests feel that on the whole this complex provides excellent value with its excellent location and basic apartments it provides good value for money.
Ola Club Novelty is located very close to a lovely beach. There is a bus stop within a couple of minutes’ walk and the train station is about ten minutes away. There are a number of international fast food chains nearby as well as traditional Spanish tapas bars and restaurants.
Wi-Fi is unreliable and this is perhaps down to which apartment you are allocated and the distance from the connection. It is hit and miss as to whether your device will connect and then it often disconnects.
Many of the rooms are looking past their best and the hotel is in need of a full refurbishment. This has been attempted on a superficial basis with a lick of paint which has photographed well but is still not up to standard.
The hotel and the area around it is quite quiet outside of peak season. Whilst this may be to some holidaymakers’ tastes other have found it to be too quiet. The hotel pool is only open in the summer season and the month of May is reportedly a Spanish food and drink festival in the area with lots of bars and restaurants offering special deals.
