About Ocklynge Manor
Georgian manor house, 300 years old and once home to Peter Pan illustrator Mabel Lucie Attwell. Ocklynge Manor is the only accommodation in Eastbourne to hold the 5 Gold Star award from both the AA and Visit Britain since opening in 2005. The site was once a monastery and Commandery for the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem. The accommodation offers free off-street parking in own courtyard, the finest Egyptian cotton linen, hand-made bread, jams and marmalades, as well as tea and cake on arrival. Eastbourne is perfect for walking on the South Downs Way, the Devonshire Park International Ladies Tennis Tournament, Great Dixter, Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor gardens, as well as Glyndebourne. The house is in a quiet residential location 1 1/4 miles from the sea front. Occasional Open Garden.
