Hotel Oceans 2700 (Virginia Beach, USA)

Excellent, affordable locale a block off the beach within walking distance of assorted restaurants and bars. This is an older venue in the process of gradual upgrading, as is evident throughout the property. Three stories tall with no elevator, you may want to request a ground floor unit if stairs are an issue for you. There is a lovely pool, and parking is available, but there are fewer spots than rooms in the hotel - hopefully some folks took the bus.

Most enjoyed the staff and praised highly the welcoming front desk team. Sharply-dressed and charming, they're top notch, willing to help at all times, and without doubt the greatest aspect of this property, according to some.

Clean and recently renovated units with crisp sheets, fresh towels (you may need to ask for more), and handy shower dispensers kept replenished by housekeeping. Tile floors are perhaps a bit less luxurious, but work for easily sweeping sand off after a day at the beach. Bathrooms are optimally clean but missing sufficient counter space. Some were sure the beds were the most comfy they've ever slept in - while others stated they were a bit hard. Some would have enjoyed a chair or two for seating - existing choices are the bedside or floor.

The pool is great, although check the hours - they've been known to close it at unexpected times.

Some of the codes have had issues and actual keys were provided - after a $50 replacement form was signed in case of loss.

Although the staff are friendly, some have experienced missing reservations upon arrival. Either the booking site or hotel themselves had lost it, and difficulties ensued. Print your confirmation and bring along if possible.
