If you have previously been at Ocean Sands Resort, then you will love the new changes at the hotel. The rooms have received major upgrades with balconies incorporated into each room without compromising on the existing space.

The hotel is located strategically on the picturesque beach within walking distance of top attractions including Jungle Golf (200 meters), Pirates Paradise Mini Golf (200 meters), Old Coast Guard Station (200 meters), among other attractions. Guests can enjoy a variety of recreational activities at nearby resorts including parasailing, scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, and hiking.

Guests have been overflowing with praise for the level of customer service provided at the hotel which they have described as terrific. The front desk is highly efficient and any problems with guests' reservations are handled at lightning speed and with a minimum of hassles.

Although Ocean Sands Resort has done well to provide free Wi-Fi in the rooms and all public spaces, guests have reported that Wi-Fi signal in some rooms is poor and agonizingly slow. Sometimes there is a signal dropout that can lasts for hours.

Virginia Beach can get sweltering hot with temperatures exceeding 95 degrees during summer. The AC units in the rooms apparently cannot handle continuous temperature overload and are prone to breaking down when the heat is unrelenting.

The ongoing renovations in the rooms are certainly good and worth the trouble. But unfortunately guests have to put up with excessive noise levels during the day due to the construction works.
