Hotel Northwoods Inn Of Lake Placid (Lake Placid, USA)

The "Southern Style" restaurant is superb with a fantastic atmosphere. The breakfasts are huge and good quality. Try the Mama Bear Breakfast or the Hearty Mountain Breakfast, you will love it!

The hotel is centrally located and view of the scenery is great. You can also walk downtown to all the attractions, bars, and restaurants.

The towels are extra fluffy and the bed has a Tempur-Pedic mattress. It's extremely comfortable and wonderful for a relaxing, good night's sleep after a long day of hiking, jogging, or whatever has worn you out through the day.

The facility is a bit noisy and loud through most of the night. However, this may depend on where your room is located. If you are near the elevator or the kitchen, you will hear a variety of multiple sounds that can do a job on your ears.

Parking is tight and the lot needs more lighting as well. It's too congested and if you come back during the evening you can't see your way around.

The hotel appears tired and needs some work. You may find stains on your linen, utilities that don't work properly like the air conditioning, a grimy lobby area, dirty balcony, mostly things that can easily be fixed. You may find the stairs and elevator are in very poor shape and have an unpleasing odor. Housekeeping needs to be re-trained on how to properly clean a hotel room and that would solve many of the problems.
