Hotel Neutor Salzburg Zentrum (Salzburg, Austria)

The hotel is really close to the city centre. You just walk through a tunnel and there you are! You will find plenty of shops and places to eat as well. Public transport is close by and the bus will take you to and from the airport. There are even some historical sights in the area like the homes of Mozart, museums, the Haus der Natur, and more. An electric vehicle charging station is just a few feet away, and it’s free.

The staff is helpful and will do their best to take care of your needs. They speak excellent English and provide nice courtesies like offering you an umbrella during the rain or giving you a map, so that you can navigate around the city better.

Breakfast is satisfactory and filling. Good produce like tomatoes, a choice of cheeses, and salmon are served.

First, there is no AC in the room and the fan is not enough when it’s really hot. Forget about opening the window, unless you can stand the noise from outside. There are no coffee/tea amenities or toiletries either. Second, the rooms are tacky with mould in the bathroom and the carpet is grimy. The place actually needs repainting.

The Wi-Fi is poor and you are only allowed to use two devices.

You may find yourself thrown to the wolves in the other building across the street. It’s just as bad as the main building but without any reception. It doesn’t feel safe either as anyone can walk in and roam around the facility.
