Hotel Napa Valley, Ascend Hotel Collection (Napa, USA)

The guest house is located in a quiet residential area which meant that guests could enjoy peaceful and relaxing evenings. Many said it was extremely convenient being able to walk to the centre of town whilst wine lovers were pleased to find numerous tasting rooms and wineries just a short drive away from their accommodation.

Guests said that their stay was enhanced by the additional perks such as the complimentary wine evenings which provided a great opportunity to unwind and socialise with fellow occupants. Many also appreciated the free French Press coffee which is available all day as well as the tasty chocolate morsels which are served every evening.

Many said they were overwhelmed by the wide choice on offer at breakfast which included both freshly prepared dishes and buffet options. The hot meals were described as being full of flavour and made from high quality ingredients whilst guests also appreciated the vast array of cold items. The menus also catered for those with special dietary requirements.

Guests were disappointed to find that some of the rooms were a lot smaller than they had anticipated and objected to the fact that they had very little space to stow away their belongings as well as limited space to move around.

The walls were said to be on the thin side as guests were able to hear noise from adjoining rooms. Others objected to hearing creaky floorboards from the rooms above  as well as the hallways.

Guests whose rooms were on the upper floors said that they found it quite tiring carrying their luggage up the steep and narrow staircase as there is no lift on the premises.
