This hotel, like the area surrounding it, is - in general - pleasantly quiet at night time. Unsurprisingly, many guests (particularly those who stayed in more lively areas of this buzzing city) were very appreciative of this.
A significant number of guests have been less-than-impressed by this hotel's policy of closing the reception desk between 10pm and 8am. Travellers arriving in the middle of the night after long flights were, quite understandably, especially miffed.
It seems to be the case that guests staying here are expected to look after themselves in a ‘fully self-catering' fashion as no housekeeping/room cleaning services are provided unless you're willing to pay extra for them. Needless to say, very few guests liked having to go down to reception to exchange their bed sheets, pillowcases and towels themselves.
The vast majority of guests who've stayed here have noted that the guest rooms are, even by Japanese budget hotel standards, really pretty small.
